As I write this, Bahar and I are traveling internationally and seeing Rotary’s impact in New Zealand and Australia. Though away, technology has allowed me to stay in touch with Jacqui, our board and club. It’s clear that April for Club 24 is shaping up to be a month of connection, service, and impact, and your fellow Rotarians are counting on you to join them in making it happen.
We are excited to announce new members Sabrina Morales, Jamal Batar, Kelsey Earl, J Diane Brenderson, Bruce Roberts and Kara Cash.
Read on about to learn a little about each member.
Joins us at an upcoming meeting to get to know them a little better.
If your committee needs new members consider inviting them to participate in committee and activities of the club.
Contact information for each new member can be found by logging on to your Club Runner profile or by downloading the ClubRunner app
We would also like to thank resigning members Gary Garf, Joshua Creer and Bahar Ferguson for their support of the club and wish them the very best in the future.
Rotary Club of Salt Lake City Joins End Plastic Soup Initiative
Your Salt Lake City Rotary Environment Committee wants to break the plastics waste chain, filling up our landfills with plastic that takes hundreds of years to decompose!
The plastic film and bags we use to bring food home and stash leftovers in the fridge pile up because our blue garbage cans can’t separate plastics from plastic bottles and paper waste.

Earth Day April 22
As people of action, Rotarians have been shaping the conversation on the environment for years, from addressing climate change that threatens entire food systems to fighting pollution that clogs our air and water. Rotarians are well-suited for the challenge. They use their connections to find creative solutions and take action to safeguard our vital resources.
The Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group (ESRAG) assists Rotary clubs, districts and multi-districts in building awareness, inspiring action, and planning service projects that focus on environmental sustainability, awareness of climate change, and actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Promoting Peace
As a humanitarian organization, peace is a cornerstone of our mission. We believe when people work to create peace in their communities, that change can have a global effect.
By carrying out service projects and supporting peace fellowships and scholarships, our members take action to address the underlying causes of conflict, including poverty, discrimination, ethnic tension, lack of access to education, and unequal distribution of resources.
